Finding the perfect space between meals and midterms.

This project celebrates diverse, fulfilling meals through the lens of the college experience. Created by a team dedicated to sharing personal culinary stories—ranging from profound cultural staples to simple comfort foods—the book serves as a collective memoir of our backgrounds. I helped direct the overall visual structure of the recipe book and designed the final layout for every page. I developed and featured a personal set of five original recipes, as well as designing one chapter divider. I also created the table of contents and managed the technical compilation of all spreads into the final publication PDF. The primary hurdle was establishing a cohesive aesthetic that respected each contributor's unique vision. Because our team had diverse interpretations of "authenticity," bridging these cultural styles into a unified design was a complex, iterative process. The final product is a seamless narrative that allows readers to experience our individual and collective knowledge of publication through grid structures and heartfelt dishes that matter to us.

I utilized Adobe InDesign to engineer the book's foundational grid system, managing the typography, recipe layouts, and complex pagination for the table of contents and chapter dividers. For the visual elements, I used Adobe Photoshop to perform precise image masking and photo editing, ensuring every dish integrated seamlessly into the final high-resolution composition.
